Our Mission

The AbleGamers Foundation was created to advocate for the disabled in the realm of digital entertainment. We know that the lives of disabled individuals is improved when access they have access to the digital world. We know that through the means of accessible technology and advocating to the leaders of the digital entertainment industry to include accessibility options wherever possible. Our mission is to enhance the experience of everyday activities for those that struggle without technological aids. Everyone has a right to enjoy digital entertainment, and with your help, we can increase the amount of disabled individuals who can participate.

Accessibility Day @ Games for Health

The AbleGamers Foundation has collaborated with the Games for Health and Serious Gaming initiatives to bring Accessible Gaming much-needed attention. Accessibility day is a full day event involving keynote speakers from the leaders of the digital entertainment industry and experts from the field of disability advocates. These experts are brought together to help bring awareness to the serious nature of including everyone with accessibility.

We bring technology to those who need it. The leaders of accessible technology work with The AbleGamers Foundation to help provide a one-day free arcade displaying all of the latest and greatest accessible gaming devices. We introduce individuals, who have never seen the technological wonders that engineers can now design, to the types of technology that can help them and their loves ones with maintaining the ability to function at the highest level possible.

The goal of the Path to Games Accessibility Project is to convene leading games accessibility experts, game technology vendors, and lead game programmers, producers, artists, and testers to identify and clearly state what technologies and processes can be developed by 2015 that will greatly enhance the ability of people with disabilities to better play the videogames they want and love.
