The end of the year approaches and for many of us that means piles of snow and loads of new games. There have been some major game launches recently including God of War Ragnarok (M), Overwatch 2 (T) , Sonic Frontiers, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II(M), Marvel Snap (T) and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet(E). We said farewell to the Halloween updates of our favorite games and are looking forward to the holiday updates to our favorite games!

Huge shout out to our friends over at Twitch for having us of this year’s TwitchCon.  We got to be part of the Twitchcon 2022 Featured Charities Zone! This included a bunch of awesome charities working together to spread our missions. There was a Mario Speedrun Event raising money and it was split between all the featured charities! The space was right off of the main walkway and we got to meet so many amazing people! Vinny, our program development & marketing administrator, was at the booth giving away cool AbleGamers swag and talking to content creators about how they can support our mission with charity streams! It was an exciting time to get to meet all of the wonderful communities supporting the mission. Twitch themselves donating over $5000  and fundraising with the Speedrun World Record Circuit Finals community.  It was a great event for AbleGamers and we can’t wait until Twitchcon 2023!

Lost & Hound is a story-based game that has you playing a dog on a mission. The game was developed with accessibility at it’s core and has features included to help you sniff out the next part of the story using audio based cues or visual cues. The tutorial of the game allows a player to get used to the game play and starts out having you find household objects like socks while in a park but quickly picks up to have you saving people, finding criminals and recruiting more dogs to your pack that have different abilities. The game has an extensive list of accessibility features including fully narrated menus, customizable controls and the ability to change if buttons need to be pressed or held.

The team at Dasiy Ale Soundworks designed the gameplay to be as accessible as possible to players with visual, auditory and physical disabilities For more information about the game and the accessibility check out.

The Lost & Hound is available on Steam and the trailer can be played on Youtube or embeded below

A special thank you for the contribution of $12,564 to support our Peer counseling services for people with disabilities. It’s thanks to wonderful organizations like the Murray Foundation that we can continue to support players with disabilities with our on on one peer counseling. In 2021, we helped 400 people with disabilities join the virtual worlds we all love assisted in part by the Jerome S. & Grace H. Murray Foundation.
